A practical breakdown of what to buy new, what to refurbish, and what to lease when you're setting up a 10-50 seat office in Delhi NCR.

Workstations: buy refurbished

Modular workstations from corporate liquidation sales are 60-70% cheaper and last 8-10 years. We refurbish, repaint, and re-laminate before delivery.

Chairs: buy new

This is the one place to spend. Your team sits 8+ hours a day. Get mid-range ergonomic chairs (₹6-9k range) — not the ₹2k mesh chairs that collapse in 6 months.

Conference tables: refurbished or made-to-order

Solid wood conference tables cost a fortune new. A made-to-order MDF/laminate table from a local karigar costs 1/3rd and looks just as good in photos.

Storage: lockers + open racks

Skip filing cabinets unless you have legacy paperwork. A few lockers + open metal racks are cheaper, more flexible, and easier to move when you scale.

Lounge / breakout area

Pre-loved sofas in good condition are perfect here. Reupholstery costs ₹4-8k per seater and gets you a brand-new look.
